June 20, 2013  UPDATE - All Cherokee Country Club (CCC) facilities (both north and south side of Lyons View Pike) are temporarily accessible from Kingston Pike ONLY. This is a temporary situation while crews install the new water line to the west. Please continue to consult this blog on a regular basis prior to driving to CCC to ensure access points have not changed.

Blalock & Sons continue to work in Construction Zone 3 installing the new water line. Once the water line is placed into service and water service lines tied over to the new main, the existing 98-year old cast iron water main will be removed to allow for installation of the new sewer and gas mains.

Lyons View Pike remains closed to through traffic between Lakeshore Park on the west end and Colony Way on the east end.  Harley Drive remains barricaded at the Lyons View Pike intersection for the duration of this project.  Completion of the project is scheduled for November 2013, prior to Thanksgiving.
